GREAT FALLS — Despite 26-point outburst from Bailey Cartwright, the University of Providence women's basketball team fell to Vanguard University 70-63 at the McLaughlin Center on Friday night.
Jenna Randich scored 13 for the Argos, while Parker Esary added 11 points and nine rebounds. Tristen Rollon led a balanced Lions attack with 14 points, while Vanessa Murphy had 13.
It was Providence's first loss on the season. The Argos (2-1) travel to Montana State University-Billings for an exhibition game on Saturday.
