WHITEFISH -- Rocky Mountain College track and field athletes Michael Lee and Sydney Little Light were named the Frontier Conference indoor athletes of the week, the league announced on Monday.
Lee was named the league's men's field athlete of the week. The sophomore from Kalispell finished fourth in the shot put at the Dave Little Alumni Mile, an event hosted by Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. Lee's put of 14.96 meters (49.08 feet) set a new school record for the Battlin' Bears.
Lee also competed in the men's hammer throw at the event.
Little Light, a sophomore from Crow Agency, earned the conference's women's track athlete of the week after a third-place effort in the mile. Little Light clocked a personal-best time of 5 minutes, 35.12 seconds at the Dave Little Alumni Mile.
Lewis-Clark State athletes Madison Carson and Clayton Van Dyke were also honored.
