BOISE, Idaho — The Rocky Mountain College men and women swept the slalom and overall combined alpine team titles at the USCSA Western Region Championships Saturday, while also claiming both individual titles in a dominant performance.

Rocky beat the University of Colorado in both team competitions to claim first at Bogus Basin Ski Resort. Ester Jakobsson won the women's slalom with a 1:29.54 combined time between the two runs. Battlin' Bears teammate Sydney Weaver was second at 1:31.68.

Alexander Sehlberg won the men's slalom title for Rocky, finishing in 1:27.06, while teammates Oscar Dalmalm and Filip Johansson finished second and fourth, respectively.

Both Rocky's men and women won the giant slalom titles earlier in the week as well.

The wins qualified the Battlin' Bears for the USCSA Nationals in Lake Placid, N.Y. from March 10-14. 17 schools from seven states competed at the Western Region Championships, with four Nationals berths up for grabs.
