WHITEFISH – Rocky Mountain College student-athlete's Jackson Wilson and Claire Wright were named the Frontier Conference men's cross country runner of the week and women's golfer of the week, the league announced Monday.
Wilson is a sophomore from Box Elder, S.D. He finished first out of 33 runners at the Frontier Conference Rumble hosted by Carroll College at Ten Mile Park in Helena. His time was 26:52 in the 8,000-meter run.
Wright is a sophomore from Chowchilla, Calif. She was the individual medalist at the Carroll College Invitational played at the Bill Roberts Golf Course in Helena last week. Wright shot an even-par 72 to lead the Rocky women’s team to the team title in the second regular-season Frontier Conference golf tournament.
