KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Wednesday that Rocky Mountain College's football coaching staff will lead the West Team during the NAIA's inaugural Senior Football Classic.

The event will pit the East and West teams against each other at Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Ga., on Dec. 14, 2019. Rocky's Devonte Woods and Denton Wetherell will be among the more than 100 selected NAIA senior football student-athletes playing in front of fans and pro scouts during the inaugural event.

Led by Rocky's head football coach Chris Stutzriem, the West Team will be comprised entirely of the Battlin' Bears' coaching staff. The East Team will be lead by Cumberland University's head coach Tim Mathis and will feature a diverse selection of head and assistant coaches from seven schools and multiple conferences.

With the conclusion of the 2019 season, the Battlin' Bears finished seventh among the Frontier's eight teams with an overall record of 4-7 and a conference record of 3-7. Their victories included upsets of nationally-ranked Dickinson State and Montana Tech.
