BILLINGS - Markaela Francis was selected as the Frontier Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday.
The senior forward from Great Falls, Mont., scored 32 points in a 69-65 exhibition loss to crosstown rival MSU Billings on Thursday. Francis shot 10 of 12 from the field and 11 of 14 from the free throw line, and also pulled down 10 rebounds. Francis was the only player on either side to record a double-double.
Francis and Rocky hit the road for the 2019 Phoenix Frontier Classic this week in Chandler, Ariz. Rocky plays Our Lady of the Lake University Thursday and San Diego Christian College on Friday.
