Providence, Montana Tech volleyball players net Frontier Conference weekly honors

WHITEFISH -- Players from the University of Providence and Montana Tech were named Frontier Conference volleyball players of the week, the league announced on Monday.

Kelsey Shaver and Cydney Finberg-Roberts were each honored for the University of Providence, while Sabrina Hopcroft garnered an award for Montana Tech.

Shaver was honored for a third consecutive week after leading the No. 20 Argos to a four-set win over No. 16 Montana Tech. Shaver, a 5-foot-0 senior outside hitter from Scotts Valley, Calif., averaged 6.50 kills and three digs per set against the Orediggers. She also tallied a .344 attack percentage.

Finberg-Roberts, the sophomore setter from Columbia Falls, averaged 12.25 assists and 4.25 digs per set against the Orediggers.

Hopcroft was a bright spot for Tech in the loss, as the 5-foot-7 senior libero from Florence averaged 9.75 digs per set.
