MSU-Northern Skylights fall in weekend sweep by Lewis-Clark State College

HAVRE -- Lewis-Clark State College made it 3-0 against MSU-Northern after a weekend sweep over the Skylights at Armory Gymnasium. The Warriors defeated the Skylights 66-54 and 90-84, respectively, on Friday and Saturday.

Former Columbia Falls standout Kiara Burlage had a monster game for the Warriors on Saturday, dropping 34 points on an 8-of-14 shooting performance. The senior forward connected on 18 of 19 free throws to lead LCSC to the Saturday afternoon win. The 18 made free throws were a program record, while the 34 points were a career-high mark.

Burlage added 14 points in Friday night's win, adding a team-high nine rebounds for the Warriors.

MSU-Northern was led by Allix Goldhahn's 29 points and five rebounds in Saturday's setback, while Peyton Kehr had 13 points in the loss on Friday. Goldhahn and Sydney Hovde, Burlage's former Columbia Falls teammate, each added 10 points on Friday, while McKenzie Gunter dropped 18 points in Saturday's loss.

Northern (1-3) isn't scheduled to take the court again until Jan. 4-5 for their Frontier Conference opening series against Carroll College.

Former Frontier Conference member LCSC (3-1) has no other official games scheduled.
