KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Montana Western climbed to No. 20 in the latest NAIA Football Coaches' Top 25 Poll, which was released on Monday.

The Bulldogs (2-0) moved up five spots from their previous ranking of 25th after wins over Carroll College and Montana State-Northern to start the 2019 Frontier Conference season. The Bulldogs are among three teams from the Frontier to appear in the top 25.

College of Idaho, the preseason favorite in the league, is up to 11th in the rankings after starting at 15th. The Yotes are 3-0 with wins over Eastern Oregon, Montana Tech and Southern Oregon to start the season.

Rocky Mountain College is also ranked with the Battlin' Bears coming in at No. 24, one place down from their previous No. 23 ranking. Rocky started the season with wins over Dickinson (N.D.) State and MSU-Northern before losing at Carroll College last weekend.

Montana Tech (1-1) is among the teams in the receiving votes category.

In next week's Frontier Conference action, Montana Western travels to Rocky Mountain College, and Montana Tech hosts Southern Oregon. College of Idaho is off until Sept. 28 when it hosts Rocky.

The top seven places went unchanged from the previous rankings. Morningside (Iowa) is still the unanimous No. 1 team, receiving all 17 first-place votes. Benedictine (Kan.), Saint Francis (Ind.), Kansas Wesleyan and Saint Xavier (Ill.) complete the top five. Concordia (Mich.) and Marian (Ind.) held steady at Nos. 6 and 7, respectively.
