BUTTE — Taylor Henley leveled a match-high 14 kills as the Montana Tech volleyball team fended off Montana Western in five sets 25-23, 25-15, 17-25, 22-25, 15-7 on Saturday at the HPER Complex to give the Orediggers a two-match sweep over the Bulldogs.
Tech improved to 4-4 in conference play and has won all four of its home matches.
Maureen Jessop had 13 kills and 2 solo blocks for the Orediggers. Karina Mickelson added 12 kills. Kamaile Moody had 4 service aces.
Western (1-7) was led by 11 kills from Emmah Peterson, 28 digs from Tannah Sellers and 25 assists from Abbey Schwager. Morgan Kirch had 3 aces.
Tech heads to Helena next week for a doubleheader against Carroll College while Western hosts No. 24 Providence.
