BUTTE -- The Montana Tech men and Rocky Mountain College women won the team golf titles at the Montana Tech Invitational at the Butte Country Club on Monday.
The Tech men cruised to the title, recording a total score of 278 strokes behind medalist Trey Hoagland, who carded a 6-under-par 64. Hoagland's teammate, Sean Ramsbacher, placed second with a 2-under-par 68.
The Orediggers also had a 'B' team entered in the meet. That team finished tied with Rocky Mountain College at 297 total strokes. Isaiah Weldon led Tech's 'B' team with an even-par 70. Rocky was paced by Daniel Sigurjonsson (73) and Nolan Burzminski (74).
Montana State-Northern was fourth in the team finish with 334 strokes, followed by Carroll College with 343.

Rocky's women recorded a team score of 317 strokes and placed four golfers in the top five. Kaelyn Volk finished first with a 5-over-par 76 to edge teammate Claire Wright, who placed second at 78. Rocky's Amanda Conner shot an 80 to tie for third with Montana Tech's Tanna Campbell, and Kaitlyn Fleming carded an 83 to finish fifth for the Battlin' Bears.
Carroll College (352) was second in the team scores, and Montana Tech (359) was third. Katie Fagg (14-over-par 85), Caroline Hobson (87) and Sydnee Nowlen (88) placed sixth, seventh and eighth for the Fighting Saints.
