BILLINGS - Rocky Mountain College head volleyball coach Yang Yang announced Monday that Kyndra Long has signed a Letter of Intent to join the Battlin' Bears for the 2020 season.

From Gardiner, Mont., the 5-foot-9-inch outside hitter and middle blocker will join the Battlin' Bears after her senior year at Gardiner High School. Long played basketball and volleyball for the Bruins. A two-time first team all-conference student-athlete, Long has earned three all-state selections as a volleyball player.

"Kyndra is a really good student-athlete coming from a great volleyball program," said Yang. "She is willing to work hard to become an impact player."

"Kyndra has a passion for competition and learning," said Carmen Harbach, volleyball coach at Gardiner High School. "She also loves volleyball, so it will be fun to see her take her game to the next level at Rocky."

Earning a 3.86 GPA in the classroom, Long was awarded academic all-state honors during all four of her years as a Bruin. She will pursue a degree in biology at Rocky Mountain College.

"I chose Rocky Mountain College because of the excellent academics, great volleyball program, and the fact that it felt like home," said Long. "I felt like I fit in right from the start and I'm very excited to continue my career in such a beautiful place with such amazing people."
