CALDWELL, Idaho -- The No. 7-ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints women's basketball team won their third consecutive road game on Saturday, defeating No. 17 Eastern Oregon 69-60 in Caldwell, Idaho.
Saints (6-3) junior guard Danielle Wagner scored a game-high 19 points on 7-for-10 shooting, connecting on 3-of-4 threes while adding seven rebounds.
Maddie Geritz added 12 points, while Christine Denny and Sienna Swannack each scored 10.
The teams entered the fourth quarter tied at 43, but the Saints used a 26-17 period to put away the Mountaineers. Geritz scored the Saints' first eight points of the quarter and helped her team maintain a multiple-possession lead the majority of the final period.
Geritz scored 11 of her 12 points in the final quarter.
The Saints knocked down their free throws late to keep the Mountaineers at bay. The Saints hit 16-of-23 free throws in the game.
Carroll shot 47 percent from the field, 31 percent from deep and 70 percent from the foul line.
Eight different Saints scored on Saturday.
Now the Saints look to the Frontier Conference season, as the Saints face Montana Tech on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the PE Center.
