WHITEFISH -- The Lewis-Clark State men and Carroll College women are the No. 1 seeds for the Frontier Conference basketball playoffs, which begin as early as Tuesday.
Lewis-Clark State (27-3 overall, 15-3 conference) is the men's regular-season champion and receives a first-round bye in the conference playoffs. Carroll College (22-8, 13-5) is the No. 2 seed, the University of Providence (23-7, 11-7) No. 3, Montana Tech (18-11, 10-8) No. 4, Montana State-Northern (19-11, 9-9) No. 5, Montana Western (11-18, 4-14) No. 6 and Rocky Mountain College (6-21, 1-17) No. 7.
Carroll College (21-9 overall, 13-5 conference) won the women's regular-season championship and will receive a first-round bye in the conference playoffs. Reigning national champion Montana Western (19-10, 12-6) is the No. 2 seed, Lewis-Clark State (19-9, 11-7) No. 3, Rocky Mountain College (19-10, 10-8) No. 4, the University of Providence (18-12, 9-9) No. 5, Montana Tech (14-16, 4-14) No. 6 and Montana State-Northern (15-15, 4-14) No. 7.
