DICKINSON, N.D. -- Tyger Frye might have saved the best for last.

The former Billings Senior standout has had a record-setting football career at Dickinson State. He added to that with an impressive stat line in his final regular-season game for the Blue Hawks, catching 10 passes for 172 yards and three touchdowns to help DSU to a 52-34 win over Presentation College on Saturday.

Frye caught scoring strikes of 16, 34 and 26 yards as part of a massive day for the Dickinson State offense. The Blue Hawks also got touchdowns from Derek Tabor, Alec Lovegren, Noah Sickler and Drew Boedecker.

Boedecker, the Blue Hawks' first-year starting quarterback, caught a touchdown pass from Conor McCarvel on a trick play. McCarvel, a Helena Capital product who caught four passes for 28 yards at his normal receiver position, had a perfect day throwing the ball on Saturday: 1 for 1 for 2 yards and the touchdown.

Boedecker, meanwhile, finished 14-of-25 passing for 211 yards and the three TDs to Frye. Aaron White, a Shelby native, also got in at QB and completed 10 of 15 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown to Sickler.

Eight different Blue Hawks were credited with at least one carry on Saturday, with Tabor leading the way with nine carries for 41 yards. Lovegren, from Sidney, had six carries for 22 yards and one catch for 8 yards.

Dickinson State built a 52-13 lead through three quarters before allowing Presentation to score three fourth-quarter touchdowns.

The win pushes the Blue Hawks' record to 9-0 to end the 2020 North Star Athletic Association fall football season. Dickinson State clinched its sixth consecutive NSAA conference championship last week. The NAIA national playoffs are scheduled for the spring of 2021, culminating with the national championship game on May 10.
