KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Dickinson State wrestler Gresh Jones, a former four-time state champion at Sidney High School, is still the top-ranked 133-pounder in the latest NAIA wrestling coaches polls, which were released Thursday.
Jones started his senior season with three wins at the Battle of the Rockies Tournament in Great Falls in early December as he looks to add a third all-America finish this season. After transferring from the University of Minnesota, Jones finished fourth at the 2018 NAIA national championships as a sophomore and third last year as a junior.
Providence's Shonn Roberts, a Columbia Falls native, and Casey Dobson, a Great Falls High product, are also ranked for the No. 14 Argos. Roberts is second at 149 pounds and Dobson is fifth at 157.
Montana State-Northern's Isaac Bartel of Mason City, Iowa is second at 197 to lead the Lights in the rankings. As a team, Northern is 18th.
Grand View (Iowa) and Reinhardt University (Ga.) are still the top two teams in the poll. Campbellsville (Ky.) climbed to No. 3, replacing Lindsey Wilson (Ky.), which fell to fourth. Baker (Kan.) vaulted up from ninth into a tie with Oklahoma City for fifth.
