CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Roberts native Allexander Kosel was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital men’s indoor field athlete of the week on Monday.
Kosel is a junior at Eastern Oregon. The Mountaineers competed at the Polar Vortex Classic hosted by College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho on Feb. 20-21.
Kosel was the event winner in the high jump with a height of 6-4 ¾. He also earned a victory in the triple jump with a mark of 47-11. His mark in the triple jump is now tied for fourth in the NAIA.
