CORVALLIS, Ore. -- After her record-breaking performance against Montana State-Northern, Columbia Falls native Kiara Burlage was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital women’s basketball player of the week on Monday.
Burlage, a 6-foot senior forward at Lewis-Clark State, set the program's single-game record with 18 made free throws in the Warriors' 90-84 win over the Skylights on Saturday. She made 13 consecutive free throws at one point, which also set a program record, and her 19 attempts are the fourth-most in a single game by a Warrior. Burlage finished with a career-high 34 points, sinking 8 of 14 shots from the floor.
Burlage was also solid on Friday, just missing a double-double with 14 points and a team-high nine rebounds in the Warriors' 66-54 win.
Lewis-Clark (3-1) doesn't have any scheduled games listed on its athletics website.
