GLENDIVE - Dawson Community College dropped a pair of volleyball matches to North Dakota School College of Science on Tuesday and Wednesday, playing a much tighter final in the latter but falling 20-25, 17-25, 19-25. The Bucs lost their earlier match 8-25, 12-25, 15-25.
"I was much happier with our showing tonight," said coach Dina Fritz Wednesday. "We showed a lot of energy and resiliency tonight against a very strong team. I feel we are making strides in the right direction and tonight was a break through for us.”
Stat leaders for the night were Nicole Green with 10 kills and Haydin Henschel with 9. Shelby Fronk led the team in assists with 20 and Ellie Meeks and Logan Stetzner both had an ace a piece. Fronk also led the team in digs with 11 followed closely behind by Green with 10 and Meeks with 9. Kaylee Johnson led the team in blocks with 2.
The Lady Bucs hit the road next weekend to play in Devils Lake, North Dakota for a double header on Friday Feb 26-27 before traveling to Bottineau to play on the 28th.
