MILES CITY -- Miles Community College sharpshooter Akeemis Williams signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his playing career at Division II Chowan University in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Chowan competes in the Conference Carolinas.
Williams, a 5-foot-9 shooting guard from Las Vegas, was sixth in NJCAA with 110 made 3-point field goals during the 2019-20 season. He also connected on 85 3s during his freshman season for a total of 195 in his two seasons as a Pioneer. As a sophomore, Williams averaged 13 points per game and shot 44 percent from the 3-point line and 85 percent from the free throw line. He scored 676 points in his Pioneer career.
