MILES CITY -- Miles Community College head women's basketball coach Taylor Harris announced Thursday the 11 members of the recruiting class that will be entering MCC for the 2020-21 season. The 11 student-athletes come from close to home and all over the world, representing Montana, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand.
"I couldn't be happier with this group. We have 11 young women that exemplify all that it means to be a part of MCC women's basketball," Harris said of the 2020-21 class. "We needed to get longer at the wing, bigger inside, replace natural scoring, and add more depth at all positions. We were able to accomplish all this while staying true to our philosophy of recruiting student-athletes that want to build a loving family environment together."
Joining MCC are Montanans Danna Ochoa (West Yellowstone), Isabel Saltenberger (Anaconda), Rebekah Everest (West Yellowstone), Jasmine Grossman (Manhattan) and Kelbee Denham (Malta). Molly Cockburn of New Zealand, Jana Conejero of Spain and four Australians -- Bree Trego, Kate Tanner, Rebekah Dallinger and Taryn Mahoney -- also signed.
The recruiting class will join 2019-20 Pioneers Olyvia Pacheco (Rawlins, Wyo.), Anna Boone (Ririe, Idaho), Lili Long (Melbourne, Australia) and Lidia Pintor (Barcelona, Spain), who helped the team finish third in the MonDak Conference with a 19-13 record.
