Miles Community College drops 5-set match Dakota College-Bottineau

BOTTINEAU, N.D. -- The Dakota College-Bottineau Lumberjacks rallied from down 1-2 to win games 4 and 5 and upset the MCC Pioneers Tuesday night in Bottineau.

In five tightly contested games, DCB pulled out a 15-10 win in the fifth set. For the Pioneers, Samantha Bonenberger had 50 assists, Matilda Dietz dug it up 21 times, and Olivia Easton and Mariah Simmons combined for 44 kills in the MonDak Conference match. MCC fell to 2-2 in conference play and 7-10 overall. Bottineau notched its first conference victory and is now 1-3 in league play.

MCC has a chance to bounce back right away as it plays at Williston State College Wednesday at 6 p.m.
