The Miles Community College Pioneer baseball team moved its record to 22-9 after winning its ninth straight game this past weekend and moved up to 11th in the nation in the most recent National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II baseball poll. To go along with the team rankings, several Pioneers are in the top 10 in various individual statistical categories.
First baseman Dawson Parry leads DII with 15 home runs and 56 RBI. He is also ninth in batting average at .510. Pitcher Jett Hasegawa leads the nation in wins with a record of 7-0 and is also 12th with an ERA of 1.29. Pitcher Anthony Bleggi is seventh in wins with a 4-0 record.
The Pioneers are also fourth in the nation as a team with 269 runs scored and sixth in home runs with 40.
Next up for the Pioneers is a weekend series with Bismarck State. Friday's games will be in Bismarck and Saturday's games in Miles City. Games are scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. each day.
