MILES CITY -- Skylar Higgs from Park High School in Livingston will join the Miles Community College softball program for the 2021-22 school year.

Higgs is a three-sport varsity starter full of athletic accolades. She also plays volleyball and basketball at Livingston. Higgs participated in the Memorial Classic event that showcased some of the best softball players in Montana and played well, according to MCC coach Shawna Juarez.

"Skylar is a multi-sport standout. She is athletic and will be a monumental player for MCC softball," Juarez said.

"I chose MCC because I thought it would be a good place for me to start academically," Higgs said. "I also wanted to stay somewhat close to home. I also knew from the minute I walked on campus and met the team that I wanted to be part of the softball family. They were supportive and excited from the start and made me feel part of the family. It seems like an amazing program and I didn't want to pass the opportunity up."
