GLENDIVE - Dawson Community College freshman outfielder James Arend has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball for Corban University in Salem, Oregon.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NJCAA baseball season was canceled in Mid-March. DCC Baseball only played 13 games before the season was cut short. Arend played in 7 games and went 5-16 at the plate for a batting average of .313. He had 1 double, 1 run and 2 RBIs to go along with an on base percentage of .353 and a slugging percentage of .375.

Arend is from Alaska, and will be joining fellow teammate Keenan O’Brien who signed at Corban earlier this spring.
