GLENDIVE - Returning runner Kayla Parisien started her cross country season strong finishing 18th and qualifying for nationals at the NAIA Frontier Conference Preview Meet in Havre. Parisien's time of 21:18 has secured a spot to travel to Fort Dodge, Iowa at the end of the season for her second appearance at the NJCAA Cross Country Nationals meet.

"It was a great first meet and I am excited to see what the rest of this season and this year have in store for us," said head coach Alex Wolff. "We have returners that are ready to run hard and compete at a high level, as well as some newcomers that bring a lot of talent and positivity to our team."

Zach Austin 25th place and Jonah DuCharme 32nd place led DCC on the men's side.

"We have a limited number of meets this year, but are looking to have fun, run hard, and be competitive," Wolff said.

DCC's next meet is in Dickinson, ND, on September 28 at 4 p.m.
