GLENDIVE -- Huntley Project's Isaiah Bouchard plans to challenge himself as a dual-sport athlete at Dawson Community College starting this fall, according to DCC's athletic department.

Bouchard plans to play basketball and compete in track and field at the two-year junior college.

"Isaiah has had a good high school career and is ready to work hard to take the next step and play in college," said DCC head basketball coach Joe Peterson. "He has toughness and grit but will need to work on his skills to make that jump effectively."

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Bouchard averaged 14 points, 13 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game as a senior helping the Class B Red Devils to a 19-4 record. He was named first-team all-conference and had season-highs of 24 points and 23 rebounds.

As a junior, Bouchard averaged 12 points and 12 rebounds.

He was a state track and field qualifier in discus every year, finishing fifth as a sophomore and second as a junior.
