GLENDIVE - The DCC Lady Bucs volleyball team fell to Bismarck State College in three sets (22-25, 25-27, and 9-25), but had a better showing than their loss to the same team a night earlier.

Despite the last set blowout, coach Dina Fritz was happy with the performance.

“I feel like we improved in a few things tonight that we talked about after the game the night before. We kept our energy up and were right in there the first two sets," Fritz said. "Bismarck is a good team and I feel like we competed well with them. We just need to keep pushing to get better and we will get there.”

Stat leaders for the game were Nicole Green with 5 kills. Ellie Meeks, Haydin Henschel and Green all had 8 digs apiece. Seeara Wojtczak led the team in blocks with 2.5. Shelby Fronk led the team in assists with 9 and aces with 5.

The Lady Bucs are back in action this weekend in Powell, Wyoming for a tournament on February 12 and 13. The next home game for the Lady Bucs is February 16 and 17.
