LA GRANDE, Ore. -- Bozeman native and Eastern Oregon wrestler Keegan Mulhill has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Red Lion men's wrestler of the week, the league announced on Monday.

A three-time state placer for the Bozeman Hawks, Mulhill is in his sophomore season with the Mountaineers and ranked No. 19 in the 174-pound weight class. Mulhill finished 4-0 over the weekend, with a pair of wins against top-20 opponents -- he defeated MSU-Northern's 17th-ranked Chase Short 12-6, then added a 6-0 decision over No. 11 Coleman Bryant of Southeastern.

Mulhill was a four-time state qualifier at Bozeman High, earning a fourth-place finish at 138 pounds his sophomore season. After placing fifth at 152 pounds as a junior, Mulhill put together an impressive senior campaign that ended with a runner-up finish to eventual three-time state champion Jace Rhodes of Billings West. Rhodes defeated Mulhill 4-3 at the 2018 state championships.

Mulhill and Eastern Oregon return to the mats on Jan. 11 for a home match against Big Bend Community College.
