WHITEFISH -- Rocky Mountain College runners Ruth Chepsat and Jackson Duffey were named Frontier Conference cross country runners of the week, the league announced on Monday.
Chepsat, who has won the honor multiple times this fall, placed sixth at the Great Lakes Cross Country Challenge in Grand Rapids, Mich. over the weekend. She finished the 5k race, which saw 277 runners, with a time of 18 minutes, 25 seconds. Chepsat, a junior from Eldoret, Kenya, helped Rocky to an eighth-place finish in the 26-team event.
Duffey also turned an impressive performance at the Great Lakes Challenge, finishing ninth out of 311 runners. His 8k time of 25:20 helped the Battlin' Bears place seventh in the men's team standings.
Duffey is a junior from Ronan.
