MISSOULA — The 4-0 Butte Bulldogs will travel to Missoula Thursday night to take on the 4-0 Missoula Sentinel Spartans in a crucial Western AA football matchup.

Butte has come out of the gates hot, scoring 47 points per game. However, its defense has allowed 24 points per game.

The Spartans are also rolling: Their offense has been solid, but their defense is the glue, holding teams to just 10.4 points per game.

Whoever comes out of this game on top knows it'll be a big-time win.

"It would be huge for us to win this. We focus on one game at a time, but this one would be a huge standpoint for us, because they are the No. 2 team, they are undefeated, as well, so it would be huge for the Sentinel program," said Sentinel quarterback Dayton Bay.

That game kicks off at 7 p.m. Thursday from the MCPS Stadium in Missoula.
