MISSOULA -- The accolades continue to roll in for Dylan Rollins as 2020 winds to a close.
The Missoula Sentinel senior offensive lineman was named an honorable mention All-American by Sports Illustrated on Wednesday. Rollins was named a finalist on Dec. 1 for the All-America teams after being named to the watch list back in July.
The honor caps off a big year for the Spartan senior. A team captain for Sentinel, the 6-foot-5, 285-pound Rollins helped lead the Spartans to a 10-0 record and the school's first Class AA state football title since 1972. For his work on the offensive line, Rollins, a three-year starter at Sentinel, was named first-team all-state.
With Rollins leading the way on the offensive line, Sentinel rushed for 2,111 yards and 34 scores on the ground while additionally racking up 2,017 yards and 28 more touchdowns through the air.
After that successful run, Rollins announced his commitment to BYU to further his football career on Dec. 8. The announcement ended a long recruiting process for Rollins, who was officially offered scholarships by 16 NCAA Division I schools. Rollins signed his letter of intent last Wednesday during the early signing period for football.
