BIG TIMBER -- Jay Jetmore set the bar high for the 2020 football season.

The Red Lodge running back posted monstrous numbers in the season-opening game Friday, helping the Rams to a 44-7 Class B football blowout against Big Timber.

Jetmore rushed 25 times for 381 yards and five touchdowns in the romp, as Red Lodge tallied 524 yards on the ground. Jetmore led the attack, scoring thrice in the opening quarter to put the Rams ahead 19-0. Though Red Lodge didn't score in the second quarter, the ground game continued flexing its muscles in the second half, while the Rams defense was also strong, holding the Herders to only 2-of-17 passing for 17 yards.

Big Timber rushed for 158 yards in the loss.

Jetmore also added an interception as Red Lodge looked prime for another playoff run this season, after the Rams advanced to the semifinal round a year ago, losing to eventual-champion Eureka.

Red Lodge (1-0) returns home to face Columbus in Week 2, while Big Timber (0-1) is scheduled for a road game at Colstrip.
