ENNIS -- Colter Ball opened the scoring, William Ullery found a groove and Fort Benton never looked back as the Longhorns romped Ennis 48-0 in the season-opening 8-Man football game between the two teams.
Ball took a swing pass from Ullery down the right sideline some 45 yards to put the Longhorns out front 8-0, then the two connected again near the end of the first and the rout was on.
Ullery continued driving the Longhorns down the field, picking the Ennis defense apart in the process. His first-half touchdown pass over the top of the Mustangs' secondary, landed right into the waiting arms of Andrew Ballantine, as Fort Benton took a commanding 41-0 lead into the locker room.
The Horns added the final score in the second half to move to 1-0 on the season.
