WILSALL -- Aidan Jenkins scored three touchdowns, and Emmett Gilbert and Dylan Flatt combined for 33 tackles in helping Shields Valley to a 26-18 win over Harlowton in 6-Man South football action Friday night.
Neither team could get much going in the first quarter, but Harlowton broke the scoreless tie with a 30-yard scoring run in the second. Flatt and Jenkins got their big nights started shortly after, though. Flatt found Jenkins for two touchdowns in the second quarter -- one from 70 yards and the other from 40 -- to give the Rebels a 12-6 halftime lead.
Harlowton dominated the third, though, outscoring Shields Valley 12-0 in the period thanks to a kick-return touchdown and another long scoring run.
Gilbert tied the game back up in the fourth on a 4-yard touchdown run, and the Rebels took the lead on a point-after conversion pass from Kaden Acosta to Flatt. Jenkins added his third touchdown later in the fourth to help seal the win.
Shields Valley (3-1 overall, 1-0 conference) play Reed Point-Rapelje next weekend, while Harlowton (1-3, 0-2) will play Broadview-Lavina.
