BOZEMAN – Montana State shored up its depth at the line of scrimmage and offensive skill positions Wednesday when the Cats added four newcomers to the 2019 roster, Bobcat coach Jeff Choate announced.

Tyson Regimbal joins the Bobcats from the College of Siskiyous in California, where he played in 2017 with current MSU linebacker Daniel Hardy. A 6-3, 250 lb defensive lineman, Regimbal logged 40 tackles, seven for a loss, with three sacks in 2018. He also forced a fumble. In 2017, the Gresham, Oregon, product registered nine tackles, including one sack. “Tyson is a player who’s really motivated,” Choate said. “He loves football, loves the weight room, and he has a good friend on the team so there’s a comfort level. He gives us depth in an area where we lose three seniors after this season. Tyson has three years to play two so we’ll be able to evaluate what is best for him and the team in August.”

Tyrone Marshall (6-1, 185) joins the Bobcat receiver corps from Riverside Community College in California. The Los Angeles native who played prep ball at Narbonne High School caught 45 passes for 707 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore in 2018. As a freshman he caught nine passes for 145 yards with two touchdowns. He also averaged 20.6 yards per kickoff return as a sophomore. “Tyrone has top end speed and good ball skills,” Choate said. “he competed at the top level of junior college ball, and we felt we needed depth with some roster attrition and questions about Jabarri Johnson going into the fall. Tyrone adds value immediately and adds depth where we have some really good front-line players.”

Jack Harlow comes to MSU as a preferred walk-on offensive lineman. A 6-2, 280 lb interior lineman at J Serra High School in San Juan Capistrano High School in California, Harlow plays for his father, J Serra coach and former NFL standout Pat Harlow. Harlow earned 1st Team All-Trinity, All-Orange County and All-SoCal honors as a senior. “Jack is a big, strong player who can play guard or center,” Choate said. “He is part of our plan to stockpile big bodies who show good ability as high school players.”

John Knight (6-2, 195), also a preferred walk-on, enjoyed a highly successful high school career at Colville, Washington, High School, leading his school to its first state football championship. Along the way he earned Cascadia Preps State Offensive MVP honors. Knight threw for 1,835 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior, 4,299 yards and 42 scoring strikes in his three-year varsity career, completing 54.5% of his passes. He also won a pair of state wrestling championships, and was considered a Pac 12 prospect in that sport. “John is a player we’ve talked to for a long time,” Choate said. “He’s obviously very athletic and with his wrestling background has good toughness. He’s a leader. We have a good mix of experienced quarterbacks, and John and Blake Thelen give us two young quarterbacks that we really like. “
