ODGEN, Utah – Montana State’s Henry Adams was named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on Monday, April 29, for his performance at the Cat-Griz Dual in Bozeman on Saturday.
Adams completed one of the best hurdle races of his collegiate career for MSU at the Cat-Griz Dual meet on the Bobcat Track and Field Complex oval. The MSU freshman took first in the 110 hurdles in a time of 14.42 seconds. His converted time of 14.46 seconds tied for sixth all-time in program history. It also placed him fourth on the Big Sky performance list.
The Edina, Minnesota, native moved up to a tie for 69th in the NCAA Division I West Region rankings in the event. Adams also sits fourth on the Big Sky performance list in the pole vault after he completed a personal-best mark of 15 feet, 7 inches, at the MSU Open on April 20.
The Big Sky honor is the first weekly award for Adams. MSU sophomore Lexi Kyro was tabbed the Big Sky Women’s Track Athlete of the Week on April 15.
Montana State track and field closes out its regular season on Friday, May 3, when the Bobcats host the Tom Gage Classic at the Bobcat Track and Field Complex.
