BOZEMAN — After winning four conference games in a row, the Montana State men’s basketball team is now on a two-game losing streak.

However, a midseason switch on offense has helped push the Bobcats’ scoring to the top of the Big Sky Conference. The Bobcats now lead the league in scoring in conference games. Head coach Brian Fish said the change to an open offense has been a beneficial adjustment, and it shows: In four of their past five games they’ve scored more than 80 points.

“I’m not sure we’d be having the year we’re having right now if we wouldn’t have done that and certainly I don’t think we’d be leading the league in scoring the way we are,” Fish said on Tuesday.

“I think we need to continue to build on that and I think it’s because we’ve adapted to (Harald Frey’s) strength, Tyler (Hall) can play in just about any offense,” he finished.

The Bobcats will host Northern Arizona on Saturday at 2 p.m.
