OGDEN, Utah — A career night for Montana State junior guard Harald Frey paced the Bobcats to a historic win over Washington State last week to help him garner Big Sky Conference Men’s Basketball Ready Nutrition Player of the Week honors.

Frey recorded a career-high 31 points and 10 assists along with a career-best six three-pointers to lead Montana State to a 95-90 victory over Washington State in Kennewick, Wash. The victory was the Bobcats’ first over a Pac-12 opponent since 2011 and the first over the Cougars since 1973. Sunday’s win was also the Big Sky’s first over a Power 5 school this season.

The Oslo, Norway native scored 18 points in the opening frame, helping MSU open up a 12-point advantage before the Cougars rallied to even up the contest at halftime. Frey also came up clutch down the stretch, scoring nine of MSU’s 16 points in the final 5:11.

Frey also added six rebounds to his stat line in 37 minutes of action. He finished the night 8-of-16 including 6-of-11 from behind the arc and 9-of-12 from the free-throw line.
