Montana State’s Jered Padmos named Big Sky Conference co-special teams player of the week

BOZEMAN — Montana State punter Jered Padmos was named the Big Sky Conference co-special teams player of the week after his performance against the University of Montana.

Padmos punted seven times in Montana State’s win, averaging 42.9 yards per punt. Padmos pinned the Grizzlies inside their 20-yard line four times. He also pinned Montana inside the 5-yard line once in the second quarter and twice in the third. Just one of Padmos’ punts was returned, gaining only seven yards. Montana’s average starting field position for the game was its own 27-yard line.

Montana State will host Incarnate Word in the FCS Playoffs on Saturday at 1 p.m.
