MISSOULA – Former University of Montana basketball players Jamar Akoh and Ahmaad Rorie have both found their new homes in the month of July. Both players will be headed overseas to begin their professional careers.

Rorie will be heading to the small island country of Cyprus to play for the defending champions Keravnos Basketball Club. Rorie started for the Grizzlies for three years after transferring from Oregon. In that time, Rorie helped lead Montana to two Big Sky Conference championships. Rorie is also the Montana men’s single-season scoring record holder.

Akoh will be heading to France to play for Chorale Roanne Basketball in the LNB Pro A league. Akoh played for the Griz in his junior and senior years after transferring from Cal State Fullerton. Akoh was also apart of those two dominant teams that captured the Big Sky title before being ousted from the NCAA tournament by Michigan in consecutive years.
