MISSOULA — The Montana Department of Athletics and Grizzly Sports Properties announced a three-year contract extension for Grizzly radio play-by-play announcer Riley Corcoran on Thursday.

Corcoran, who was named the 2018 Montana Sportscaster of the Year, is set to enter his fourth season calling football and men’s basketball at UM as the “Voice of the Griz.” His new contract will keep him on airwaves across Montana until 2022.

“We are very excited to announce the contract extension for Riley. He is an extremely talented announcer and incredibly hard worker. His preparation is second to none, and that is apparent in his broadcasts. I feel fortunate to have Riley back for another three years with the Grizzly Radio Network,” said Grizzly Sports Properties General Manager Todd Rahr.

In addition to calling football and men’s basketball, Corcoran also hosts the The Bobby Hauck Coaches Show, appears regularly on UM social media, and does play-by-play for Grizzly volleyball and softball broadcasts.

“In my role, I’m lucky enough to be surrounded by driven people who make me better every day, and I enjoy nothing more than being able to call Washington-Grizzly Stadium and Dahlberg Arena my offices,” said Corcoran.

“From the administrators at the top to the incredible group of head coaches and student-athletes who make up Grizzly Athletics, it’s a great place to work each day, and I’m proud to continue to be a part of it.”

The 29-year-old Billings native will be honored for his Montana Broadcaster of the Year award by the National Sports Media Association at its 60th annual Awards Weekend, June 22-24 in Winston-Salem, N.C.
