MISSOULA – Tickets are now on sale for the 2018 volleyball season, and for the first time, fans can purchase season tickets to see all 12 of Montana’s home matches.

By purchasing a season-ticket package, fans will receive general-admission seating for every home match for just $50 – a 68-percent savings compared to single-match tickets.

In addition to nine Big Sky Conference matches, the Grizzlies will also host a preseason tournament for the first time in four seasons. The Labor Day weekend tourney features regional foe Gonzaga, in addition to Iowa State and Utah, two teams that finished the 2017 season nationally ranked. Utah, of the Pac-12, qualified for the Sweet 16 a year ago, while Iowa State, of the Big 12, advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. The entire tournament will be played inside Dahlberg Arena, as will the Sept. 25 rivalry match vs. Montana State. The other eight matches will be played in the West Auxiliary Gym.

Fans have plenty to be excited about this fall. After seeing a three-win improvement under first-year head coach Allison Lawrence, the Grizzlies have loftier goals for 2018.

Montana returns every player who earned a start in 2017, plus 99.9 percent of its kills, 99.5 percent of its blocks, 95.7 percent of its assists, 83.6 percent of its service aces and 81.6 percent of its digs. The Grizzlies improved in every statistical category from 2016 to 2017, including a 40-percent increase in blocking (132-spot improvement nationally).

In addition to season tickets at a discounted rate, those who purchase by the end of July will receive a free Montana volleyball T-shirt. Season tickets can be purchased online, by calling 1-888-MONTANA or by visiting the Adams Center ticket office on campus. Single-match tickets are also currently on sale.

The volleyball team opens fall camp Aug. 7 before traveling to the state of California for its first preseason tournament, Aug. 24-25.
