BOZEMAN – School is out for the Montana State football team, but next year the team will look a little bit different. The Bobcats are losing a few members of the team. Safety Will Martel and linebacker Sean Opland have decided to leave the program, MTN Sports confirmed Tuesday.

Martel, a Bozeman native, recorded only a single tackle this past season during the Kennesaw State game. Martel helped lead the Bozeman Hawks to an undefeated season and a state title in 2015.

Opland, a redshirt freshman, originally joined the Bobcats as a running back until being moved to linebacker in 2017. The Troy native appeared in five games this year.

Also leaving the program are two other players: Jackson Mcleery (LB) and Bigfork native Adam Jordt (DB).
