HELENA – It became official Friday. As we reported earlier this week, Helena High’s Kamden Hilborn had decided to head to Bozeman next year to play basketball for Montana State. On Friday, in front of family and friends, Hilborn put pen to paper and signed the papers to move forward.
It wasn’t an easy decision for the two-time State AA basketball champion and this year’s co-MVP of the state tournament. Hilborn had also received several offers to play soccer and pole vault from schools like Washington, Montana and Carroll College. But in the end she decided basketball was where her heart was, and that would lead her to the Bobcats.
“I’m really excited that it’s finally official and it’s really happening,” said Hilborn. “I am really relieved and it’s a weight off my shoulders and I’m really excited to be a Cat.”
