MISSOULA – The future looks bright for the Montana Lady Grizzlies. They graduate only one senior from their young team and have some highly rated recruits heading to Missoula the next couple of years.
But the program does lose a couple of bench players. Hailey Nicholson and Nora Klick are leaving the program. UM confirmed the two Montana natives will transfer to continue their playing careers elsewhere.
Nicholson played in every game this season, starting five times. The 6-foot-0 sophomore forward from Malta averaged more than five points and nearly four rebounds while playing 15 minutes per game. Nicholson started 16 games during her true freshman season, putting up nearly identical numbers.
Klick will leave Montana after her redshirt freshman season. The 6-0 guard played in 26 of 31 games, averaging nine minutes and two points per contest. The Great Falls High product has been continually hampered by back problems. She had surgery on the injury as a senior in high school.
Klick and Nicholson have not announced where they will transfer for next season.
