BOZEMAN – The Montana State women’s basketball team may be playing at its home arena this week, but the Bobcats are walking into unfamiliar territory.
They are now on a three-game losing streak, tying their longest slide of the season. This week they head into their final home games of the season against Idaho and Eastern Washington. The venue will be a comfortable sign for the Cats, but their opponents are a bit unknown.
“These are two teams we haven’t faced yet, so it’s interesting to have four of your last five at the end of the year, four of them you have not played yet,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “So that’s interesting, but at the same time it’s about the process of getting better and preparing the right way and we have to do that today.”
The only familiar opponent will be when the Bobcats face Montana in Missoula on Feb. 24 before heading back on the road to round out their schedule with Idaho State and Weber State.
