BILLINGS -- The Olympic dream is one step closer for Billings swimmer Ethan Harder.
The phenom, who owns all sorts of Montana state records, qualified for the 2020 Olympic Trials on Wednesday at the USA Swimming National Championships in Stanford, California.
Harder qualified in the 200 fly, which is his secondary event. He'll race his primary event, the 200 backstroke, on Thursday as a No. 10 seed.
According to swim coach Sean Marshall, Harder is the first Olympic Trials qualifier from the Billings Aquatic Club.
The trials continue through Sunday.
