NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Former West High School standout and current Montana State University tight end Wilson Brott was just announced as a nominee for the prestigious 2018 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for making a significant impact on their community through his volunteer accomplishments.

Brott is part of 169 college football players from across the country that were nominated this year for their remarkable “good works” off the field. Since 1992, the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team has been one of the most coveted community service awards in college football, bringing together student athletes from all divisions of play to honor their dedication to volunteerism and enriching the lives of others.

Brott boasts an impressive resume of accomplishments, including:
 Traveling to Poland to build houses with Habitat for Humanity International to benefit a family in need
 Serving as a youth coach for local football clinics to teach kids the fundamentals of the sport and the importance of team work
 Volunteering in various capacities with the Special Olympics, including participating in a charity softball game and assisting with special sporting events

From the 169 nominees, a final roster of 22 award recipients – comprised of 11 players from the NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and 11 players from the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIA (and one honorary head coach) – will be unveiled in September.
